Overview

Tummy Tuck in West Palm Beach

Abdominoplasty goes far beyond diet and exercise — it corrects the muscle separation and excess skin that no amount of training can address. The result is a genuinely transformed abdomen: flat, toned, and naturally contoured.

A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) removes excess abdominal skin and fat while tightening the underlying muscles — including the separated abdominal wall (diastasis recti) commonly caused by pregnancy. Dr. Kapp contours the entire midsection, repositioning the belly button for a completely natural appearance.

Am I a Candidate?

Ideal candidates are healthy adults at a stable weight who are dissatisfied with excess abdominal skin or a protruding stomach. Particularly beneficial for post-pregnancy patients. Those planning future pregnancies or significant weight loss should wait, as these events significantly impact results.

The Procedure

Performed under general anesthesia in two to five hours. A hip-to-hip incision is placed low enough to be concealed by swimwear. Dr. Kapp removes excess tissue, repairs the underlying muscle wall, re-contours the abdominal tissue, and repositions the navel before closing with fine sutures.

Recovery & Results

Most patients rest at home for the first two to three days, returning to desk work in three to four weeks. A compression garment supports healing. Bruising, swelling, tightness, and soreness are expected and resolve progressively. Full results are visible around three months.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a tummy tuck and liposuction?+
Liposuction removes fat but does not address loose skin or separated muscles. A tummy tuck addresses all three — skin, fat, and muscle — for a more comprehensive transformation.
Will I have a visible scar?+
A low horizontal scar is made but is designed to fall below the bikini line. Dr. Kapp uses meticulous closure techniques, and scars fade significantly over the first year.
Is a mini tummy tuck the same?+
A mini tummy tuck addresses only the lower abdomen below the navel with a shorter incision. It is best for patients with minimal excess skin and does not repair upper abdominal muscle separation.
