Overview

Rhinoplasty in West Palm Beach

The nose is the defining feature of facial harmony. Rhinoplasty — among the most technically demanding procedures in plastic surgery — reshapes the nose to achieve natural balance and proportion with the rest of the face.

Dr. Kapp performs both aesthetic and functional rhinoplasty, addressing the nose's appearance and, when needed, its function (including deviated septum correction). Techniques may include removing a dorsal hump, refining the nasal tip, narrowing wide nostrils, or restructuring cartilage and bone — always with the goal of achieving a result that looks like it was simply always there.

Am I a Candidate?

Good candidates are healthy adults (or teens whose facial growth is complete) who dislike their nose's appearance or proportions, or who experience breathing difficulty. Both women and men seek this procedure in the Palm Beach area.

The Procedure

Performed under general anesthesia in approximately two hours. Small incisions inside the nostrils (closed technique) or across the narrow strip of tissue between the nostrils (open technique) provide access to the nasal structures. Cartilage, bone, and soft tissue are precisely modified to achieve the planned outcome.

Recovery & Results

A nasal splint supports the reshaped nose for the first week. Expect some bruising around the eyes and swelling, which resolve progressively over two to three weeks. Most patients return to work in one to ten days. Final results emerge as swelling fully subsides — typically around six to twelve months.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How long until I see final results?+
While the major swelling resolves in two to three weeks, subtle refinement continues for up to a year. The nose you see at six months is very close to your final result.
Can rhinoplasty improve breathing?+
Yes. Functional rhinoplasty addresses structural issues like a deviated septum, enlarged turbinates, or collapsed nasal valves that restrict airflow.
Will my nose look natural?+
Dr. Kapp designs every rhinoplasty to complement the patient's unique facial features — the goal is improvement that looks natural, not operated-on.
